I don't know why many people hear the word Vegan or Vegetarian and react as if it were a sect... BUT WHY? The decision to stop consuming animals or products derived from them is far from being a fad. NO, IT IS NOT A FAD... VEGANISM OR VEGETARIANISM HAS BEEN PRACTISED BY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL. Believe me, it is more a moral and spiritual decision than anything else.

"And you Celeste, what do you know" ... yes, it so happens that I can speak in first person about this whole subject, as I have been eating a totally vegetarian diet for a little over three years now, and it is certainly going to be a turning point in my life, because of the improvement in my general health and the inner peace that it brings me.

Is it better for your health to follow a totally vegan diet?

What is a better way of eating than an omnivorous diet? No, of course not, neither better nor worse, in both cases it is a matter of choosing HEALTHY, NATURAL AND/OR WELL PROCESSED FOOD. No one is spared from ultra-processed food, whatever you eat.

I have been a nutritionist for many years and most of the people I help to improve their nutritional habits are omnivores, and that is precisely why, PLANT-BASED PROTEIN IS ALSO AN ESSENTIAL PART OF A BALANCED DIET.

Meat consumption has soared recently that it is affecting not only people's health, but also the health of the planet:

  • Deforestation for grazing destroys natural habitats
  • Generates more greenhouse gases than all transport combined
  • It depletes our water reserves. - To produce one kilogram of meat requires between 5,000 and 20,000 litres of water, according to the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

Incorporate more vegan protein into your diet

What is the solution? The balance. At the level of our health, it is more than proven that consuming processed meats is carcinogenic for humans, and this is confirmed by the World Health Organisation. Excessive consumption of red meat also damages our health by contributing to overweight, cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes and cancer.

What are you saying, that meat is bad? That we should all be vegans now? Of course, since you are a vegetarian... NOOOO, NOT AT ALL! IT'S NOT BAD TO CONSUME MEAT OR ANY ANIMAL PROTEIN... IT'S THE EXCESS THAT'S BAD.

Benefits of taking vegan protein:

That is why we increasingly insist on THE BENEFITS THAT VEGAN PROTEIN PROVIDES:

  • Easy to find in a multitude of foods such as legumes, nuts, seeds, pseudocereals such as quinoa, etc.
  • It is low in fat and contains unsaturated fats.
  • Control cholesterol
  • They maintain healthy intestinal flora thanks to their high fibre content.
  • Easier to digest

Even for people who practice sport and supplement, an increasing number of people are consuming Weider Vegan Proteinand they are not necessarily vegetarian or vegan. They simply choose this option because they feel better or want to reduce their consumption of animal protein to improve and balance their health.

Taking vegan protein, such as Vegan Protein if you are an athlete, even at a professional level, it will bring exactly the same benefits to your muscles and your performance as consuming Protein buttermilk-based. It's just a matter of choosing whichever one you prefer and suits you best, or combining both options!
